My new year long offering that aims to bring you into deeper connection with the changing seasons. We will meet 8 times through the year, in alignment with the ancient Earth festivals of this land, and spend time together learning about the energies of that particular time of the year, how we can clear, cleanse and realign ourselves and nourish our bodies through the practice of Yoga and Meditations that are inspired by Nature.

Well the Solstice is nearly here… the darkest time of the year before we start the ascent and the light makes its return. I’m sure many of you are whoop whooping at this thought! But I feel a little sad to think the descent is nearly over. I haven’t rested as much as I’d planned and I haven’t even started that book I wanted to read! Luckily the light makes a slow return so all is not lost yet..

Yes, rest really is a radical thing to choose in our modern day life, where society and culture put more value on producing, consuming and stealing our attention away from our own bodies and minds. 

Well, we are definitely in the throes of late Autumn and Winter now aren’t we and the weather for sure makes the call for hibernation and rest even harder to ignore.  

At this time each year, you’ll start to hear less from me as I do what I preach and clear space for downtime. With that in mind I thought I’d better let you all know the dates for the Christmas break which I’ve outlined below, please do take a look at this.

Mothering the Mother Yoga Retreat.

I invite you to join us for a weekend of nourishment, nurture and replenishment in the peaceful Derbyshire Dales.

Held in a beautiful, remote landscape with the sound of the nearby river, there will be daily Yoga practices, guided meditations and bedtime Yoga Nidras for deep rest. There will be opportunities to craft and time to meander through the local countryside and relax in our luxury accommodation.

Have you managed to catch the super Moon this week? It’s been looking pretty wonderful, lighting up our night skies. It’s the second of three in a row of super Moons, which is pretty rare!

The Moon carries the energies of compassion, gentleness, mothering, nourishment, nurture, emotional intelligence and intuition. It’s been the source of my inspiration for a couple of things recently - the first being a cleanse!

We’ve had a fabulous weekend in the Derbyshire Dales. Walking, talking, relaxing and Yoga-ing! The food was wholesome and tasty, the weather was perfect and the circle of Women who came together all had the kindest of hearts. Even though I plan the details and hold the space, the retreats are really made by the people who come along. Each individual adding their own energy and story to the weekend. Each one making it so special and unique.

Come and meet conservationist Amy Dutton to learn all about the creatures of the dark.

n this session we will learn about the Earth festivals of this land - 8 thresholds through the year that provide an opportunity to pause, take stock and celebrate! If you’re a family with older children, these are great times to regroup, and share what’s been achieved and what dream seeds there are for the future. And if you’re a family with younger children, this is a great way to get creative together and get outdoors noticing all the details as Nature waxes and wanes through the year. 21st September 2024. 10am - 11.30am. Newsletter late August 2024 - With this change of season, we also see our evening Yoga class theme change as we leave our journey with the elements behind and prepare to start something new this coming week. Expect a good, slow stretch with a dash of warmth here and there. My aim is for you to leave class feeling like you’ve just had a big, cosy hug - you know that feeling where it’s so lovely from the inside out! Feel free to come and join us any week. Newsletter August 2024 - We are fresh back from our Shamanic Drumming & Yoga retreat and what a weekend it has been! We pretty much spent the entire time outdoors with daily Yoga in the garden, exploring the woodland and meadows, eating and chatting around the outdoor kitchen, star gazing at night, swimming in the outdoor pool and drumming around the fire. It’s been incredible.
