Namaste

How’s October treating you so far?

I’m definitely feeling the nudge from Nature to slow everything right the way down and lighten my load. Especially now our final Yoga retreat of the year is complete.

We’ve had a fabulous weekend in the Derbyshire Dales. Walking, talking, relaxing and Yoga-ing! The food was wholesome and tasty, the weather was perfect and the circle of Women who came together all had the kindest of hearts. Even though I plan the details and hold the space, the retreats are really made by the people who come along. Each individual adding their own energy and story to the weekend. Each one making it so special and unique.

If you’ve been on retreat with me this year - thank you for saying yes and trusting me and thank you for all you brought to the space. Lots of very special memories have been made.

And there’s more to come in 2025! The first retreat of the year will be Friday 21st March to Sunday 23rd March where we will be heading back into the Dales to stay at the beautiful venue you can see above.

If you fancy joining us, let me know and I’ll send you the details once all is finalised.

We have just 3 meetings left of Your Sacred Grove before it completes for the year. This offering has always felt like a ‘one off’ course and still feels that way now so I don’t think I’ll be repeating the journey through the 13 tree spirits next year, so if you do want to learn more about how to connect and deepen your relationship with Nature, I would urge you to come along. Our next meeting is with Blackthorn on Saturday 12th October 1.30pm in Ipstones.

A few people have asked me about Nature, Yoga, Crafting & Community and when the next gathering will be. The truth is I don’t know! I feel it may make a return sometime next year but for now, the pull of Autumn and Winter and the need for rest and space is too strong! I am taking my own advice for once and trying to slow down which ultimately means letting some things slide. I’m trusting my intuition on which candles to blow out and which ones to keep lit.

Our evening Yoga classes will continue throughout and I have my new baby of Earth School that needs nurturing so these will be where I’m leaning into over the coming months.

Talking about Earth School - our second session is coming up on Sunday 20th October 5.30pm - 7pm at Oakamoor where we will have conservationist Amy Dutton with us. The title for this session is ‘Seeing the dark as a place of beauty and richness.’
We will be taking an evening walk to see what creatures and life thrives in the dark.
All of life comes from the dark - a seed needs the dark to germinate, a baby needs the dark of a Mother’s womb. Life comes from the dark. Yet this is often a place we fear. Especially as children. We hope this session will help to change this. If you know a family who would like to come and join us, please ask them to get in touch.
